Róisín Murphy is an Irish singer, songwriter and record producer. She first became known in the 1990s as one half of the pop duo Moloko alongside English musician Mark Brydon.

 

Notes:

This collection could be best described as a "Best Of and Rest Of". It's made up of a selection of singles, b-sides, rarites and remixes. Featuring tracks from Moloko, solo projects and various collaborations.

Live & Rare is a compilation of live and rare material by Rage Against The Machine, released only in Japan in 1998 and only available overseas as an import.

Notes:
The last two tracks are taken from the UK limited edition 1999 single "Guerrilla Radio". This version of The Ghost Of Tom Joad is different to the one that appears on the album Renegades. The CD inlay notes say that it is taken from the album No Boundaries: A Benefit for the Kosovar Refugees.

Q Lazzarus: Goodbye Horses Collection

A collection of singles, b-sides and demos from Q Lazzarus.

 

Notes:

Diane Luckey (1960-2022), known professionally as Q Lazzarus. A mysterious singer who is most well-known for the song "Goodbye Horses," which featured first in the 1988 film Married To The Mob and then again (and most famously) in the 1991 film The Silence Of The Lambs. She has also contributed music to the films Philadelphia and Something Wild. To this day, not much is known about her or her backing band, but Goodbye Horses has become a cult classic.

 

This collections is made up of two singles; tracks found on the original 1991 12" Single and 2017 Goodbye Horses EP. Track four is taken from the compilation Retro:Active2 (Rare & Remixed) which was released in 2004. I far as I can tell this is the first time the Extended Version appeared on CD (it also featured on the soundtrack to Clarks II but not until 2006). It has a different sound to the source used for track one (I suspect track one is a remaster or a new source as it's the clearest version I've heard to date). Track four sounds like it may have been a rip from the 12" Single.

The Verve perform live at Pinkpop Festival,  Landgraaf, Netherlands. 01.06.98.

Notes:

I originally uploaded a version of this performance back in 2020 as part of a Deluxe Edition of  The Urban Hymns Sessions but when I updated that post after finding a Flac version of the session tracks I removed the Pinkpop performance as I wasn't really happy with the sound quality. The removed version was edited together from two different sources; the first was the bootleg Pinkpop People (which contained only 9 of the 14 tracks) and the second was a download from the livebootlegconcert blogspot, which was complete but lacked the sound quality of the Pinkpop People bootleg. This week I was able to find a new source for the whole performance which is complete and sounds a lot better than previous versions.

Notes:

An all new remaster using a new FLAC source. Primarily sourced from the bootleg "MTV unplugged & More" which is a vast improvement over the "Unplugged" bootleg I used previously. I've also used a few elements from the bootleg "MTV Unliammed" to repair a few missing or damaged parts of the performance.

Oasis: Stop The Clocks (Instrumentals) Promo

A very rare promo CD issued to TV and Radio stations to use as promotion for the Best Of album Stop The Clocks. The CD contains a number of very rare instrumentals including The Masterplan and Go Let It Out. The Definitely Maybe era songs are mainly taken from the Safety Copy of Masters 4 CD set.

Notes:

I've had this one knocking around for a while (I think I originally downloaded it back in 2012). Some of the tracks were very quiet and couple of then had a few problems. For example; the beginning of The Masterplan was cut off and the stuck on the end of the track for some reason and the intro to Live Forever was missing. I've corrected those glitches and made the whole album a bit louder. I've also added some instrumentals from various "Don't Believe The Truth" promos.

Nine tracks from the Sawmills studio sessions for the Oasis album Definitely Maybe. Contains the unused studio version of "I Am The Walrus".

Notes:

Sourced from the Youtube video uploaded by  Maxi Gonzalez OASIS. I've also added 10 tracks taken from Safety Copy of Masters which contains tracks recorded at Monnow Valley and Sawmills Studios, amongst others. These are different mixes than the ones used for the "Definitely Maybe (TREON Deluxe Edition)" I put together in 2020 with the exception of Whatever. I have not remastered these tracks like I have previously. I have however edited out some long unwanted silences at the end of some if the tracks.
