Jeff Buckley: Without You & I (Studio Outtakes)

TREON091
To celebrate the release of the new Jeff Buckley album You & I, I've put together another collection of studio outtakes.

Notes:
Tracks 02 - 08 are sourced from the bootleg Born Again From The Rhythm and have been de-clipped and edited so that they flow together more naturally in a similar way to "You & I". Track 01 is a rip from a DVD of the promo video to Hallelujah and has a slightly different sound to the Live At Bearsville version you may have heard. Without You & I (aka the Guitar Version) is a new cleaned up version but you can find the original included in the Rarities From N.Y.C compilation.

UPDATE: I've added new studio outtake of Grace found in the Electronic Press Kit on Live In Chicago DVD. It appears to be the audio of the band performing the song for the music video. Unfortunatly it's not the full track, only the first two minutes but I thought it would fit in well here. It's not included in the main download but you can download it on it's own below.

Tracklist:
01 - Hallelujah (Promo Version)
02 - If You See Her Say Hello
03 - Night Flight
04 - Dinks Song
05 - Mama, You've Been On My Mind (Take #1)
06 - Mama, You've Been On My Mind (Take #2)
07 - Hallelujah (Take #2)
08 - Just Like A Woman
09 - Grace (Studio Outtake Excerpt #1) DOWNLOAD BELOW
10 - Grace (Studio Outtake Excerpt #2)
11 - Without You & I (Remastered)
12 - I Know It's Over (Promo Video Edit)

TREON087
Science Of Fear is a collection of radio sessions from The Temper Trap dated between 2009 and 2012.

Notes:
Excellent sound quality throughout. Only "In For The Kill" sounds like it's come from the FM source and I've done my best to clean it up. All the rest seem to be from a pre-FM mp3 no lower than 128kbps.

Tracklist:
01 - Love Lost (Transmissions Session, June 2010)
02 - Sweet Disposition (Transmissions Session, June 2010)

Jeff Buckley: The Velvet Jungle

TREON085
The Velvet Jungle session was recorded in the Europe 1 Radio Studio on the 15th February 1995 and broadcasted a few days later on a Arte TV (a German/French channel) with the title 'Top Live'. Some of this set was also rebroadcast some years later on a French Cable TV channel ('Paris Première') as part of the the 'Velvet Jungle' show.

Notes:
Originally sourced from the "Black Session" bootleg and then declipped and cleaned up to improve the sound. Although the result is a slightly warmer and richer, the overall sound is still a little flat for me and it does sound a little muddy at certain points due to the TV broadcast source. That being said this is still a very good recording that's well worth a listen.

Tracklist:
01 - Dream Brother
02 - So Real
03 - Last Goodbye
04 - Mojo Pin
05 - Grace
06 - Eternal Life
07 - Interview

The Seahorses: Minus Blue (Unreleased Album Sessions)

TREON082
The Seahorses had a lot of success with their debut album "Do It Yourself". It reached No2 in the UK album charts in May 1997 and would produce three top 20 singles but dispite the stand alone single "You Can Talk To Me" also getting top 20 status (reaching 15) there would be no more official releases from the band.

In January 1999 the band began recording their second album (under the working title of Minus Blue/Motocade) at the Olympic Studios with producer David Bottrill but the sessions were abandoned after guitarist and songwriter John Squire walked out of the studio and didn't return. The band's split was officially announced on 23rd January 1999, with a press release citing musical differences. It would later become apparant that it was tensions between lead singer and songwriter Chris Helm and Squire that came to a head which lead to the walkout and the end of The Seahorses.

Check out this great interview with lead-singer Chris Helme about his time with the band and his working relationship with John Squire.

Notes:
Way back in 2005 I purchased a CD-r of 10 tracks from the unreleased 2nd album sessions from a friend of a friend. I have no idea where these tracks were sourced but they do appear to be slightly different source than the tracks found on john-squire.com but I do wonder if that is simply down to differing compression rates. After comparing the two sources I decided to use the mp3 source as the base for my "remaster" as the CD-r source definitely sounded softer to my ears.

Tracklist:
Remastered & Original Source
01 - Night Train
02 - 700 Horses
03 - Anamorphosis
04 - I Want You
05 - Cocksucker Blues
06 - Reach Out
07 - Dolphin
08 - Something Tells Me
09 - What Can You See? (Into The Light)
10 - Tombraid

01 - 1999 (Shepherds Bush Empire 09.12.97)
